We’re equipped to handle every aspect of a product dev project, but often a client only needs our help with a few pieces of that puzzle. In those cases, we collaborate with outside teams and vendors.
Nonin approached us for industrial design help on their GO2 consumer pulse oxcimiter device. This nifty piece of tech will tell you both your current pulse rate and the amount of oxygen in your blood. Though the medical applications are pretty obvious, the unit is particularly useful to people like mountain climbers. At high altitudes, knowing your blood oxygen levels can be the difference between life and death. The portable device takes its readings by simply clipping onto one of your fingers, just like at the hospital. We developed a number of different design concepts for Nonin, and once a design was nailed down, we partnered with another vendor to help facilitate manufacturing. The result is a brilliant piece of medical technology that’s available to the public for as little as $99. Learn more at Nonin.com »
